Default Can anyone ID this hull?

I bought this boat a week ago and have been trying to find out what the hull is.

Can anyone ID this hull for me?

I already ID'ed this hull for you on another forum site a week ago, it's a Prather Lap Cat III that somebody ruined by putting that junk weed-eater engine in.

That's a bit harsh!

This was your respose and I quote you "Something tells me that it could be a vintage Prather outboard tunnel hull converted over but wouldn't bet my life savings on it. The rear of the cowl is slightly different and the longer front sponsons is what's throwing me off" end quote.

You wer'nt sure so I asked here for confirmation.

Yes the engine may be crap and the build job was lousy to say the least but it's what I have to work and play with, so it will do.
I'm not going to race it, it's a boat, it has an engine and it runs.

Actually, it's kind of growing on me the more time I spend cleaning and working on it to make it better. It looks like some sort of freek drag boat and that's ok by me.

Fairdinkum!

That type of setup is kind of popular in the islands like Malaysia. Generally the hulls are a little larger.

Not yet, it needs quite a bit of work to get it going properly.

It's a Tunnel Hull, should have an outboard engine but inboard was fitted.

Click the link above for details.
