Default Loss in performance

Hi guys, i want to share my experience and i’m looking for any suggestions. I have a TLR 8ight with a 4268 motor and a 180amp esc. I am doing speedruns at the moment so i use a 20t pinion with a 45t spur gear. The problem is that i experience performance loss after the first five minutes of a couple of sprints and general mild driving. Maximum temps i see is 150f on the esc and 130f on the motor. The battery i use is a Gens Ace 4s 6750 70c which gets warm but not hot and only has about 15 charge cycles. Any ideas with what’s causing the loss in performance? I have tested the battery and all cells were at 3.79v after 10 minutes of driving which means that a big voltage drop is unlikely. Also, all cells have IR below 5.

You're measuring unloaded resting voltage. Your full load voltage drop with that setup at that gearing will be extreme - I'm surprised you're not tickling the LVC if that is your end voltage. For example, at the end of a 6 minute race run, a 2s pack in my 1/10th mod buggy carpet car might read around 3.75v/cell resting but the HW system will report a min. pack voltage of 5.3 total (my LVC is set at 5.1v/pack) during the last run - that's 2.65v/cell under load and you should be pushing your packs harder.

In other words, for what you are doing, actually, nothing seems unusual even if you are only doing a limited number of full pulls in that time.

So that's the case with speedruns? You only have a very limited amount of time before your voltage drops significantly?

I can speak to my on-road cars, -after 5 or 6 mins performance does start to fade, ...its not super noticeable but I can see it w/ my lap times. I am usually going all out for 5 mins (qualifying) and 6mins in mains. My experience is both motor gets tired and battery starts to lose its punch. I believe that is normal. ..especially if your doing all out speed runs ...5 mins or so and you'd expect to see some fade.
