I only race electric, but that definitely makes more sense in a nitro throttle context!

how much speed difference do you guys notice going from the T-250 to T-300 steering wise?

I originally bought two T-300 servos for my 8th buggy and truggy (I like everything to match in case I have to borrow from my other cars to finish a raceday). In truggy, I wouldn't go any lower torque wise and it was plenty fast for how lumbering a truggy is compared to buggy. However, in the buggy I was much happier after I installed a T-250 and kept the other T-300 as a backup. This is all on the HV setting for the BEC wich is 8 volts for the RX8.

Have you tried the t250 in 1/10 scale buggy or sct I'm kind looking in the at t 250 or t 300 rather have over kill just in case I pull it for another 1/8 scale.

I would never change servos every year, as that would depend on how much you use them. If you race every weekend then that might be acceptable.

Personally, no. But I've seen others use the T-250 in 1/10. If your esc can do HV, it will be plenty fast. On the flip side, I've seen some people use the T-190 in a 1/8 buggy and they loved it. The shorty T-180s are only .01 faster than the T-250 and I have no complaints about their speed. The T-190 doesn't feel any faster than the T-180s, but the extra torque helps since it is in a 4wd 1/10 truck with larger tires.

Short answer: If you have an HV BEC, the T-250 is plenty fast in 1/10. If not, I would go with the T-190 as you can still use it in 1/8 buggy.

You know a shorty might just be helpful in the buggy I'm not sure but I'm definitely gonna give one of these a shot for sure. Gonna ask om the buggy site see if anyone prefer the short over the full size. It going in hbd418 I have the rsx pro lined wired up to stay in there.

Does anyone know what happened with the epic lack of availability for some Tekin servos? I ordered a couple of T-180’s from AMain back in October when they were on sale (even though they were on Back Order). They were supposed to be back in stock in early November, but then that got pushed back to late January, and then again to Feb. 3rd last week.

I’m wondering about this myself. I planned on using a T-180 for a new build (have one currently in my YZ4 SF). But if it’s not available sometime next week, I’ll be looking for an alternate brand to use.

Well, Feb. 3rd has come and gone, and now AMain doesn’t even show an estimated restock date now... Very disappointing. :(

Some of the versions sold faster than we expected and went out of stock first. We are building more and hope to have them shipping in early March.

T180 has been very popular, but people are realizing the T190 is a good choice also and lo pro is not always needed.

Thanks for the info, Prez... Well in my case, I need the Lo-Pro model, as the Nitro TC I purchased is designed around them... I can use a std profile servo for steering (since it hangs upside down off the radio plate., but it’s a must for the throttle servo, due to the low profile between chassis and radio plate. Since they were on sale, I went ahead and ordered a third one for my EP TC as well.

Anyway, I’ll keep the T-190 in mind for future reference.

I went with the low profile version because they were same weight as my old plastic case standard size servos they replaced. The T-190 is 20g heavier and I didn't want to change how my cars handled.

Get a different brand then. Plenty of good servos out there.

Received my T-250 servo yesterday and installed it in my Tekno ET410 baby buggy... Used the faster servo (I can turn the speed down and it has plenty of torque for the truggy (200 min suggested)). Servo is quiet and smooth. I set up my servo the typical way, but have the adaptor cable on its way... note below.

Note: The servo horn that came with the servo fit like a glove... slid right over the spindle.
