When I ordered, I was given option to wait for the new waterproof transponder. Looks like right choice

I watched a few of the videos and it looked like you were having some issues with it tracking all the laps. Did you manage to resolve that?

Yes. The factory bodies on the 4Tec and Kyosho were blocking the signal. Both are thick compared to most tourng car or aftermarket buggy bodies. Since moving the transponder to the outside body. I’ve not missed any laps. A light painted body or leaving a clear spot for transponder is best bet.

If/when I get to St.Charles. You are welcome to check it out.

Hi Erbinator,

Transponder is wateresistant, LapMonitor is not, few water drops on it is ok but if raining raining it needs to be under a some kind of roof.
Driving on wet track track it is ok as only the transponder may be be exposed to lots of water

Transponder needs to be facing a clear body area like a window (that can be slightly tinted) or a hole to get good results. It may works trough painted body (mostly in indoor track) but we don't guarantee this
We're currently designing some holder to easily install the transponder on the cars. Some are already available on 1:10 buggy and few 1:8th buggy
Lilke this one for B6.1

LapMonitor transponder holder for B6.1

A very simple way to install the transponder on most 4WD brushless 1:10th and 1:8th scale is to install it on top of central diff

interested in this, how has it been when using it in offroad dirt conditions?

IN general what exactly happens if two cars cross side by side?

Hi here is an exemple of multiple car crossing side by side
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPnG...ature=youtu.be

Regarding offroad dirt, LapMonitor was used to time with success last year and this year national Turkish championship for buggy 1:8th nitro and brushless. Most races of the champioship are on dirt track

If your car is covered with mud it won't work but dust is ok
