i considered long and hard about that kit.. i think it was $650usd or something?.. but its entirely possible it could sit on a boat for 6 months in todays situation.. so i went with the local option...

So i did have my included r334sbse drop its bind. I had it attached to my vrc adapter. Have yet to actually race a car with the new radio yet. Hopefully this isn't a common issue ill discover in actual race cars.. i remove the radios battery after use to limit any fire potential so not sure if this has an effect on the model
memory or bind memory.

A few years late to the game. Can the 7PX take 8.4V Lipo or Li Ion ?

i asked this a short while ago and turns out 2s lipo is perfectly fine for the radio. I have a 2s 2500mah rx pack in mine. its a bit of a tight fit though, so maybe buy a specific transmitter battery as they tend to be a bit thinner. I also have the protek specific life battery for it.
A 2s LIFE it would be much safer in case you forget to turn the radio off ect. in idle the display shuts off as well as the front facing led. so if you just pick it up and put it in the bag you wouldn't see the rear facing led ect. LIFE just wont catch fire or swell up badly in this condition.

Seems like the 7PX line is overdue for a major model update. Anyone have any info on what/when something might be coming down the pipeline? Obviously the semiconductor shortage is not helping in this area. I recently checked back into the racing scene and still running my 4PKS ;-). I am going to keep running it until a new flagship comes out from Futaba. Hopefully it will not be too long from now.

There is a new model of the 7 , at A Main Hobbies , called the 7pxrUSLE.
It has heavier throttle and steering springs , and a new flag on the logo.

I look forward to a ,hopeful , potless factory version in the future.
