4px and 7px both do telemetry, the 7px is touch screen and better piece of hardware. The 7px handle LIPOS too where the 4px does not.

Futaba says the below servos work for SR mode, but I have a few older SBUS2 servos, would they work in SR mode too?
Servos with SR Mode settings

Brand new 7PX went to put drop down on. I broke two tabs off of the female connectors and pulled two wires out of a male connector. I was being very careful. I never seen the wires come out that hard. Any one else have the same problem? Very dissapointed brand new radio going back to Futaba. I'm going to ask them to put the drop down on for me....

I put my drop down on with no issues. I got mines about a month ago.

Just tried an sbus S9570SV servo but it does not support SR protocol. Guess I'm stuck with whats on the list.

anyone tried an air receiver (R3006SB)with the Futaba 7px
hi, new to this forum, I currently have the Futaba 4px and have run out of channels on a 1/5 scale car. (channel 1 and 3 steering, channel 2 throttle and rear brakes, channel 4 front brakes. I need a fifth channel to control the remote engine fail safe and a sixth channel to control a light module. I know that there is a receiver that has enough channels, but does not support Telemetry (nice to know the battery voltage for the receiver). I have looked on the compatibility chart on Futaba's site and the only receiver with enough channels does not support telemetry (R2006GS although it shows it is compatible with both air and surface radios) I am wondering if anyone knows if the R3006SB receiver would be compatible with the 7PX it is 6 channels with telemetry but is labeled as an "air" receiver.
thanks for any help/insight |
Is there anyone using the 7PX with their rock crawler and the RC4WD wired winch controller? The manual says in order to use it you need a channel with a 3 position switch. If there is anyone that has done this, which channel on the 7PX did you use?
Trying to decide between that at the wireless. Wireless would be fairly simple to setup. I would need to make a separate power cord, but you then have to worry about an external remote. I also like the idea of being able to just worry about one controller, the 7PX, to operate everything. |
I just opened the box on my new Futaba 7PX. How does the battery life do with just the 4 AA alkaline batteries? Can you make it through a few club races on a set of 4?

Battery life is terrible with alkalines. Just get the Turnigy 2s LiFe pack for it. It is cheap and will last a lot longer.

Futaba 7PX SR question??
Recived in a new Futaba S.BUS2 servo today S9372SV. Pluged it in the SBUS port of my radio. Saw the option to switch to SR mode from normal. After selecting SR mode it asks what SR type. Type 1 through 3 is available. Are there certain servos that only work with a certain type? The manual gives no imformation on the differences between types 1-3. Anyone have an idea or play around with thiese modes? Thanks, Jon |

After selecting SR mode, you have an option for types 1 through 3. Not sure which one I choose. |

Do you know what the different types do/mean?

I have tried to find the difference out as well. I posted here and on Futaba's Facebook page, no response. I even had a tech rep at Hobbico try and research the settings for me, but she could find nothing. The differences in SR Type seem to be that the individual SR settings change. So I am assuming each one has different reaction characteristics. I am now just researching/experimenting with what the individual settings do. I already purchased the $150 servo (Running it in normal mode), so I will put a little more effort into it before I just stop bothering.
Only difference I really see if that the frequency goes up in Type 2/3. |
Has anyone tried Sanwa SSR servos in the fastest response settings? Just curious because SSR is supposed to be faster and wondering if they are compatible |
