My 17.5 blinky SCT is having issues with acceleration. It accelerates slowly at first, then takes off. Have tried different escs, motors, diffs, etc. to no avail. Have had club guys go over powertrain and they can't figure it out. Only thing I have not tried is new tx/rx. Have been running 4PLS. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the throttle curve on your remote?

I had a similar issue running the hobbywing justock esc. Turned out the sensor wire wasn't seating correctly into the esc. Try using something wide and flat to gently push the harness deeper into its place or just replace the wire

Can you give me a little more information? Not quite sure what you mean when you say throttle curve on the radio, and definitely wouldn't know what to set it to once I found it.

This happens with the HW SCT Pro and I just put an XR10 Stock Spec into it and still happening - brand new wire, pushed in as far as it can go. Thinking it may be radio setting at this point.

I believe it is a setting called "expo" in your manual. You might just want to quickly skim the manual to find out how to get to it. Generally the stock setting is just a straight diagonal line from the bottom left to the top right. It's kind of a long shot because I've never seen the expo out of whack unless I made the change myself. But it's worth checking. Also there is usually a similar setting in your ESC if you have access to a program card or a USB program cable.

Also, the HW ESCs like for the throttle set to reverse on the radio prior to calabrating the ESC. The first HW I had, I ignored that step and calibrated the ESC with the throttle set to normal and had the very same thing happen. Switched it to Rev like the HW manual said, recalibrate the ESC and it worked fine.

I was going to say sensor wire too as mine was doing the same thing. I borrowed a sensor wire from a friend and it fixed it instantly. But it sounds like you've tried that already, I wonder if there is a hall sensor failure in your motor and your esc is defaulting to sensorless mode?

It looks like it was the sensor wire. Apparently I had a bad one before and the one I bought Friday night was bad as well. After smoking a brand new motor Saturday morning, I bought ANOTHER sensor wire and put the old motor back in and it ran fine. Have someone repairing the burned up motor and should have it back next week.

First thing you do is throw away the known bad sensor wires. No sense hanging onto them.
