I have a Mt44 and it's a pretty nice transmitter. The handle grip seams a little slippery to me when the radio is in my hand so I wrapped it with some sports grip. The radio is extremely light weighs in at 412 grams. My season does not start until May so I've using the mt44 with Vrc and it is very comfortable.
So far I've got about 4.5 hours of run time on the first set of AAA batteries.

Any of you guys using this radio seem to be having a problem with your servo's ? I've had two throttle servo's burn out I was using hi tec and savox hv servo's . Maybe I'm missing something with the set up of the radio?

I just purchased an MT44 from Singapore at the local Hobby Shop, Toykar. And actually, my MT44 dropped straight in to a spare Yeah Racing M12/M12S case that I had lying around. So I'd suggest that it should fit with no problems into other cases designed for the M12. However, I don't think it will fit in MTS / MT4S cases as the shape around the carry handles is quite different.
Love the radio so far. It came with 1x RX482 receiver, for S$320 (discounted from S$349). The manual states that Tx voltage is 5V max. I ordered some Turnigy 4.8V NiMh Tx packs just to try - not sure if they will fit yet, but they are "only" $10, so no biggie if it doesn't fit in the battery compartment. I've done some checking online, seems as though the Sanwa 1S LiPo has been released in Japan, but nowhere else (part number LP1-1400).

I have a Spektrum HV servo, and so far so good. Risking that I'm going to be the "captain obvious", let me ask this - have you made sure that you are not trying to push the throttle lever further than possible?

BTW, EMS shipping to the west coast was quick. Ordered it Friday evening and it was at my door Tuesday by noon.

I hate to ask (because it seems no one has one yet) but I can't figure out how to know when the lipo is charged. It can only be charged by the mirco usb. And by that you have to use a 5v USB charger. There are no lights or anything on the lipo to tell you when it is charged. Do most usb chargers sense when they battery they are charging is complete? In the batt manual it states not to charge over 4.2, but that's std for a 1s.
Anyone know of a connector to use on a battery charger that has a mirco usb plug? Maybe something that comes off the balance port?

Update - those Turnigy NiMh packs didn't fit. The Sanwa LiPo is available in Japan on the Super R/C website - I emailed them to ask availability & shipping, they told me they won't ship LiPos overseas. Oh well, the search continues.

I'll take some measurements tonight for the Sanwa lipo. Give ya an idea what to look for as an optional replacement.
