Some people in this thread commented on the type of memory card being a factor. Search for the comments. I did my update without any problem a couple of months ago.

Thank you very much! Found the answer, it was the wrong format on the SD card. I changed the format to FAT32. Then it worked just fine.

Ordered a new mt44. Would 50x34x10mm battery fit?

The one I just put in (see pics above) is a 50x50x10. So, 50x34 should fit fine. The battery compartment isn't perfectly open, it has weird parts that stick out for no reason. Trimming them is possible.
The Pro-Tek battery for this radio measures 62.5x45x8.5mm so you should be fine. A bit of filling up spaces with foam will be necessary to keep it from rattling/moving around.

I put my new 3000mah battery in on 10/29. I have practiced and raced weekly since then and still have not had to recharge it! The only thing I need to do is make a custom alarm since the standard lipo alarm is 3.6v and I think it should be 3.5v.

The long lasting battery is great when you're like me and leave your radio on ALL the time. My Futaba 4PX was awful with battery life on the flip side.

Battery finally died today after an eight hour race day. Definitely a worthwhile investment and effort.

Hi, I just bought the MT44, and like it alot. I drive Nitro (1/10) offroad and gas (1/5) offroad. I have little knowledge of elctric cars.
I have an old HPI Wheely King, that I thougt my son could mess around with. The original ESC and recevier on the Wheely King is not working, so I have to buy a new set. Is there a cheap ESC and reciever combo that will work with my MT44? I don't want to spend $200 on the Super Vortex, since it is an old Wheely King that my 5 year old son should play with Also, this is the only electric car I have, so I will not use the ESC and reciever on any other cars.
All help is much appriciated.
PS, sorry for my bad english, I'm from Norway
