I still remember watching a GTB blow up on the bench when someone moved the servo, with no battery plugged in too.

Hey, I did that at the track once.....maybe it was me??

If you mount your speedo with a C clamp, I'm not sure any speedo will hold up...

Funny how none of the prices have dropped on Novak gear. If vendors were offering serious price cuts on ESC'S and motors, I'd stock up and run them until they died. Which would likely be a long time.

Before double sided tape people would run c clamps on their wiper arm speedos!

Guessing your setting the speedo on that little tab in front of the rear shock tower in epoxy. No room in the side pod.

I assume you wired this one up and it didn't work. Two dead speedos in a row I would double check how you soldered everything. Did they smoke when power was applied. What's not working?

I feel your pain I have a Novak Sentry data logger but the included CD only runs on XP, to use Windows 7 you needed to download the Beta version software, which is no longer on their website (broken link)

So it's a paperweight unless I buy an XP Computer.

Is there not a XP compatibility mode?

Compatibility mode lets you install the software and a driver for the sentry but the program still doesn't recognize when the Sentry is plugged in.

I have the beta 1.1 program, works on windows 10 in pdf. I have not used it since 2011 so I don't know if it works with the logger plugged in.

$110 for a combo with a 4600 KV motor. I'm just a basher.

I also have 2 dead ESC's,still in the USPS priority box that came back from Novak in Calfornika.

I'll bite the bullet and move on....

Yes they are still more than capable. Have run the ESC in 1:8 on road, Truggy and Buggy.
