Default SMC lipo's

Always been a Thunder Power guy. But lately been hearing about affordable and very good batteries from SMC. Can anyone tell me about their product? They even have motors that look similar to Castle stuff. BTW I was a big Castle guy till I jumped over to Hobbywing.

I only run smc batteries. You can't beat there price, and I have several packs that are still going strong after two years of use with no puffing and plenty of power. I also have an 8.5 and 7.5 motor and they are very strong. No complaints here.

I love my SMC 4s 6500 65c hard packs for my 1/8 buggy for practicing the 6500 mah lasts forever.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they also sell a 4500mah 4s I believe which is lighter for a 10 min Main when you don't need the weight of the whole 6500 batteries

People at my track run either Pro Match, SMC, or Gens Ace.

I run one of these in my ebuggy. I only fun run at practice days but I get 20 minutes of putting around the track easily. Nice long run times and plenty of punch....at about $75 to my door if I remember right. Great pack and a great price.

No puffing. Wow. That might have just sold me. That's why I like the Thunder Power
batteries, they never swell. And I was hoping to try the 1/8 scale motor fit my truggy. Thanks

Heard a lot about the Gens Ace but not really much about the Pro Match. Do you like the Pro Match more between the 3?

That's what I was thinking about using for my shorter mains, the 4500 70c. I think I'd benefit from the extra 5c. Right?

There are a couple guys I know that have had there batteries puff. But I'm not sure if they abuse them bad or not. I use mine hard but take care of them. They 8 scale motor is very good. It can run a tad on the warm side but several guys run them with no problems.

Higher c rating is always better but it's the weight savings from 6500 to 5200 that will make a bigger difference than 5 c
