I'll be trying that motor in my Durango Dext8 truggy. Thanks

looks like you are wanting a lipo for truggy, if puffing is a concern, I'd probably go with some of the higher rated packs out there for mah and C rating from those companies beyond the 6500mah 4S lipos. I ran the Promatch IP 7600mahs 4S in my DEX8T and it was an excellent pack. In truggy the extra heft really isn't an issue.
the big thing about the promatch packs I like is the warranty relative to cost versus the competition.

I'm on the other end where i would rather save money on the battery and screw the warrenty that is built into the price so it costs twice as much like venom and other companies because not only is the shipping back and forth wait a hassle but it seems to me like when stuff happens the warrenty just expired or doesn't cover what happened to happen to the electronic or battery
However, if what you are looking at is significantly more in comparison to your needs then I agree for sure.

promatch has a warranty (6 months full, and a prorate for 6 months after) and doesn't cost twice as much in comparison to SMC. cost difference on a lipo I was pricing including purchase price shipping charge (promatch is free after $50 I believe, $8 from SMC I think) it was a wash on the lipos I was looking at (4S 5200mah, I think I may have gotten like in on the last ones)

Keep in mind SMC lies about their C rates. They admitted it to me. But in their defense, they said all manufacturers do.
I was very disapointed in their factory spec 6500 mah 60-120c 4s packs when I was losing around 5 mph in top speed compared to my Turnigy 5000mah 60-120c. The SMCs were just a few grams heavier.

Turnigy batteries are fine for a budget battery but I've never heard someone say they're better than reallly any other brand even another budget brand like SMC for SPC

Of course all companies lie about c ratings but you must of got a bad battery because I have 2 of that exact SMC battery in my 1:8 buggy and they run better than my venom and almost as good as my max amps which are a waste of money so I'll never buy again.

I do notice a difference in initial punch between Turnigy, SMC, and Thunder Power. Thunder Power is the real deal in terms of C ratings though. No technical testing for me but I run all 3 brands in my DEX8T.. Turnigy & SMC @60c and Thunder Power @55c. You don't need years of RC experience to see the difference. It's just that it's very high priced

Amen to that. Big bucks but helluva lipo. Although I got word that their C rating is also inflated. I have their 100c 4s(this is the only one I can afford) and noticed my Thunder Power velocity series 70c holds up pretty well in comparison on a BMX track. Kudos to both. Well, just put my order in for the the 4s 70c SMC. Hopefully their not on back order for too long

I have to say, having switched over from Trinity, I really like these SMC LiPo's. And to be honest, the extra price I paid for the Trinity stuff, might have been just because it was labeled "platinum" or "Ex-Tech" etc. I am waiting for some more of the higher mAh batteries to come in so I may order more. I think all in all, they are a great investment, and with a price that seems fair and lets me purchase two packs from SMC vs. 1 pack from Trinity. Just hoping the Shorty 4S comes in to give it a try in my buggy.
