It went really well for the 1st and 2nd qualifier (top 3) until I did something stupid. Move the timing up... and just lost all that punch and snap... and ended dead last. Went home checked the timing. Running at 51 deg average per motor analyzer; can says 38-40ish. Checked rpm and amp..... 8.7 ish. I stopped the motor analyzer coz it was whinning really high like the motor is going to explode. Saw the rpm numbers going past 28000rpm...then pushed the stop button. LOL

In conclusion. The timing is very very sensitive. And i should NOT screw around with the timing in the mains after i ran good runs in the qualifiers. Lesson learned .

I think my tires were just spinning out and didn't get any grip due to the power of the motor.

Btw.. what Amp setting was their motor box stock?

I think it was just 2.5A on mine ... just want to confirm it.

For some reason , my Hobbywing XR10 Pro esc doesn't read the motor temp when the sensor is connected to the motor. I usually use ny esc to check motor temp. Anybodu has the same experience with this? My esc reads my Fantom and Reedy motors but not this Tem powers motor.

That's a complex question, it's best to look at race results for the type of car you plan on using.

This is my first team powers motor 21.5 it does a great job so far. I like it a lot. I run on a very large track the straight away is a 130feet long and it keeps up with everything else out on the track in 21.5 tc out door asphalt

So how do you monitor the temp for this motor? You do it manually like a temp gun?
