Default Futaba 4PLS problem

Hello,

I just purchased a Futaba 4PLS coming over from a Spektrum system.

I have switched the steering and throttle channels to reverse. When I turn the ESC on the motor goes at half speed when the throttle trigger is in the neutral position. I have tried switching the model on the radio and still the same issue. I never had this when I was on the Spektrum.

I dialed the trim down but now I will not be able to get full throttle out of the motor.

Anyone have this issue or know what else I can try?

Thank you for any help

Set the trim back to 0/center, then re calibrate the ESC to the new radio. Always recal when changing radio systems.

Also check the steering endpoints/travel/ATV or whatever they call it.. How far the steering goes in both directions. It's likely off too.

Different radio systems rarely if ever match up. Nothing wrong or unusual.

Found this in the online manual:

Initial set-up of the throttle end-points of the ESC:

Connect the power wires of the ESC to a fully charged battery set; making sure the polarity is correct.

Bind your receiver and transmitter first if your radio requires you to do so.

Turn on the transmitter and hold the throttle at full brake position.

Turn on ESC and listen for 2 beeps.

After you hear the 2 beeps, apply full throttle and listen for another 2 beeps.

Once you hear the 2 beeps, release the throttle to neutral position.

A beep will then sound, signifying that the ESC endpoints have been successfully set.

Note! If you do not hear the beeping sound as described above, try reversing the throttle reverse setting in the transmitter.
