Default amb rc2 decoder loop cable help

I just purchased a used rc2 decoder and cables. Hooked it all up and it will not pick up a transponder and after doing some checks I found that the black box at the end of the coax cable is bad,(looks like someone pulled on it and ripped it internally) can this be replaced without spending the $200 for a new coax cable and loop. Does anyone know what's in that little box or another way to make my own coax cable and loop ?

Hi,

This might be a cheaper option for the look and box:

Thanks but after doing some research and they say that loop box its not a good choice plus I live in the US and with the price of shipping added it would around $150. There are some threads on here that show other people have made these coax amplifiers but just waiting for a someone to reply
