Hi i recently was given a kyosho mad force truck and i was told it needs a charger for the car but im not sure what the person meant as its a nitro engine The bit he said the charger goes in is located by the electric box where the reciever goes and its 3 pronged with a red and black wire coming out of it
If you have any ideas as to what it is for or needs id apreciate any help
Many thanks
Jay

The receiver has a battery pack that plugs into it to provide power for the servos and receiver. That's what you may have to charge. If it's not regular replaceable batteries (AA for example), it may be a small LiPo/LiFe/NiMH battery pack that will need charged.

As klaymon mentioned, the receiver and servo's require battery power to run your nitro car.
If you only have AA's, you can even use one of these brackets. Just make sure the black and red wires go into the receiver in the right polarity.

For charging these smaller receiver packs, if Nicd/Nimh, I'd use a slow charger. Usually transmitter chargers have the
transmitter and receiver charger receptacles.
