I use Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries. Do anyone know how to set the mv rate? And how can I see the non-charging battery voltage?

Thank you

The only way that the X1 pro can adjust the mV sensitivity is with the pc software using our Charge Master 2. You can download the software here: http://hitecrcd.com/support/software-downloads

Thanks for that info Billy T.

What is the stock pre-programed mV rate on the charger(Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh)?

Is there a way to view the non-charging battery voltage on the Hitec X1 Pro(Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh)?

You can see the individual cell voltages through the Li Batt Meter function. This function only needs the balance connector to be plugged in.

If the X1 is like other Hitec/SkyRC chargers, the Delta Peak for NiMh/NiCd will be set at 4mV default value.

Thank you
I'd check in one of the BATT MEMORY "slots". If you go in and select NiMh or NiCd chemistry, then you should be able to scroll to the DELTA PEAK SENSE to adjust the mV parameter. This is the program flow for X1's "sister charger", the RS16. I'm assuming the program flow would be the same for the X1. If not, then my apologies.

Thanks for the info Billy T. and rustyus.

-Hey rustyus; you're right. You can set the mv rate for Ni-cd and Ni-MH batteries.
Fiddling with the charger; I bumped into it.

Thanks

Until today - I thought it impossible to properly charge LiHV batteries (4.35V per cell rather than the standard 4.20V) with my X1 Pro.

Could the Terminal Voltage Control (TVC) feature found in the Battery Memory section be used to handle this increase in voltage?

What about the software? Is there a setting for LiHV for the X1 Pro in there?

I'm amazed that the X1 AC+ makes reference to LiHV right in the menu, but the product Hitec has deemed "Pro" doesn't. It's only a firmware change away... How 'bout it Hitec?

Regards ~ Jason

Maybe it's because pro's can't really use LiHv voltages due to it being against ROAR rules. LiHv is only accepted at club races as far as I know

The X1Pro needs a hardware change as well as software update to handle the LiHV cells properly. Unfortunately, the X1Pro does not have the sales numbers to justify the running change.

It's a great charger nonetheless, it just came to market a little bit earlier than LiHV cells.

Then I must not understand what that Terminal Voltage Control setting is for. Would you mind explaining a bit about that Billy?

Thanks!

TVC does allow the end user to set the end voltage for charge/discharge, however, there is a limitation as to how high or low you can adjust this voltage. It will not adjust high enough to charge LiHV batteries correctly.

I was looking at liHV and asked Hitec why they didn't update my X1 Touch to cater for it. Anyway, I found it as an option in the Hitec Chargemaster software. If you can USB the charger to a PC, check it out. You can set TVC and select LiHV too.

I tried connecting my X1 Pro via USB... Not able to connect. Guess what I get to pay for now? If you guess postage to California, you win.

If I was questioning whether or not Hitec will ever be on my radar again when I'm looking for chargers in the future, now I'm almost certain.
