Default motor stall

Hello all,

Ive been out of the hobby for awhile and just got back in. Running a sakura XI and when I have the car on a stand and press the throttle the motor hesitates for a second. It almost sounds like it runs at half RPM for a second then goes full. I am running a Speed passion GT2.0 in blinky mode with a Kill Shot 17.5 motor.

Any ideas?

Is that a sensored brushless? If so, makes sure the sensor wire it is connected.

Change the 'punch' value on your ESC if it offers adjustment.

Yes it's a sensored brushless and the wire looks like it's in snug on both ends
And the esc unfortunately doesn't have that option

Sounds like the ESC has turbo or something built in...

Sitting a while? Remove sensor cable, use contact cleaner on connectors. Recalibrate the ESC. Try again.
