Julian was running blinky with 4.5T at TQ and roadrunner CTS2 race. Both have good results, it is smooth and has alot power.you can play with timing with it.

If you want to use the full potential of your servo, go ahead and bump up the BEC.

Most ( around here anyway) run a non hv servo.

Personally I run the Spektrum S6240 which has great specs at 6V.

My MMX Pro does not show up in the firmware update tool under windows 10. The USB connection gets detected and the red LED is solid. Any advise?

Also, when I connect the programmer and go to ESC settings, it just says "Waiting ESC"

From my understanding, the USB feature is not active yet. For the program card, do you have the ESC connected to the battery and turned on, and are you connecting the program card to the received port?

Yep as far as I know the pc software isn't complete yet. Setup changes need to be made via program card.

How good is the Maclan 17.5t compared to a Schurspeed 17.5t?

The standard Maclan 17.5 is no slouch. The team edition is just a bit better regarding stator resistance. It will contend with any brand out there.

Seriously guys, how can you hope to conquer the market without a proper software?

There are some logging features in this ESC, but they cannot be used for the moment as there is no interface... Despite the fact that the combo is smooth as f%&/(), I start to regret not chosing Orca...

I don't regret it. I'm glad they put it out early and didn't wait for data logging. Hobby authority has the best customer service in the market. Fried an esc by plugging in backwards. Fixed for cheap. When they took the RMA three posted pics of every step of the repair and sent it back 1 business day later. im much happier having the esc sooner and waiting for the data logging than the reverse and it's only $199 which is inexpensive even compared to other brands with less technology. Just my 2 cents

PC/Mobile apps are coming along... never as fast as you want. Looking very cool!!

... I haven't seen any other brand with 32 bit processor mention data logging... or PC/Mobile apps come to think of it...

Time to go back and feed the coders....

BTW.. MMax and MRR were back in stock start of the week... been little busy to post.

here is a question I have to understand what is different about this feature these days versus in the past.

From what I recall, back in the brushed ESC days several ESCs (I believe they were Tekin ones at the time) had a feature where you ran a bead of solder over what looked like 2 pins and it offered reverse polarity protection. If you hooked up your battery wrong, the solder would "burn out" and save your esc.

Is there a reason why ESCs these days can't have some form of reverse polarity protection?

Question: running 4 gear required me to switch the motor mode to reverse on a mod motor I have. Putting in a stock motor today. Couple questions:

1: Is it the brand/type motor that dictated this or just the orientation of the gearbox?

2: does timing get impacted (reversed)?

Thanks!

what vehicle's 4 gear setup required you to reverse the motor? I remember having to do that with my dex210 until I realized I had the tranny in backwards.

It was Novak....novel idea, but don't remember that it worked as good as advertised. The issue I believe comes down to the fact that it would add a lot of extra space, and we are pulling crazy amps compared to the brushed days.
