I have one on order that I hope will arrive soon. It will be going into a SC5M. This is my first ever build and I am going to be in the stock class.
I'll be starting out with a 78 spur and 27 pinion.

I just called Tekin. The fellow that answered said that they have not started shipping the Gen 3 motors yet.

Tekin and Amain are not very good with ETA's from my experiance..... But thats the norm for most things.

I heard that to, if they are waiting on that one would think they have not mass produced yet.

I will say this from what I know do not use the trinity or schuur speed gearing (big pinion/small spur). These motors like small pinions and big spurs. Also make sure you avoid free winding, tires have been known to blow off the rim

Here is an extract from the email I sent Tekin.

"Good Afternoon Ben,

We are just now rolling out Gen3 motors. These motors are probably already used up by Dealer/Distributor pre-orders. In the next few weeks, stocks should be getting higher and higher through out the different online stores. ..."

Not really committing to when they were sent out.

I've replied asking for clarification re the delay due to ROAR approval. I'll let you know what they say.

Question. What is free winding?

It is when you hold the trigger and the tires are not touching the ground. Typically when most people cars are upside down or they are awaiting a race to show off motor power.

I work at a hobby store and Great Planes distributing states that they will arrive late october. From my experience, that usually means another week or two.
