Sorry I do not know how long it takes. Rob King of ROAR said manufacture's tend to trickle in motors as they are ready. So it is any body's guess as to when they will get approved.

Do you have to have a motor today? $150 is a lot to spend on a motor you are not wanting. That said the D41S is still a great motor.

How much of a gearing change should I need going from a regular D4 17.5 to the 24K 17.5? I was going back and forth between 32/33 pinion and 69 spur 50ish degrees timing. B5m lite weighing 1505g

i was planning to buy the d41s,but when i looked at the video of the buggy on page 2or3 d41s vs 24k i changed my mind. my regular d4 will be with me until the approval of 24k :)

24k is a screamer. I have my pucks equipped, slipper locked out, RB6 geared at 69/34 and its ridiculous fast and the torque is amazing.

What motor did use before?

Something is funky in that video. I did the same test between my standard stack hand built Speedzone 17.5 and there was a difference but nothing compared to that video. I know from experience the D4 1S had more top then my speedzone so I would personally say this motor is slightly better then the original 1S, not leaps and bounds.

If anyone has the certified version yet, would you post the dyno label? Looking to see if its worth another $300 when my D4's are performing pretty strong.

I just got the 24K certified and compared to my Fandom IonV5 (I know, not a true D4), the Fandom seems to have more torque, but the 24K has more top end and runs a lot cooler. Both motors were geared 72/28 and 55deg of timing. This was just testing the two motors in my B5M up and down the street. The real test will come on the track hopefully tomorrow.

Anyone use the Trinity 24k with a Sanwa SV-ZERO PLUS ESC?

I've used the motor with 2 different Hobbywing ESC's without issues now on the first night with the Sanwa, the Sanwa blows up in SSL mode.

I tested my certified 24K 17.5 last night and it rips! It's night and day between my old Fantom fully tuned IonV5. It has lots of torque and top end. With the Fantom, I was geared 72/28 at 55* and the 24K I ended up at 69/31 at 50*, but I wouldn't say that is the end result. This motor is so hot I took the slipper eliminator off and adjusted the esc to take off the edge. It is almost too much motor for me.

Would you mind posting your dyno numbers? I'm curious how they compare to the d4's.

I raced mine on Saturday and I did not find anything out of the extraordinary. Did good but no eye opener. I find my D4 Ion Works faster, not by a whole lot. I did feel that breaking was a bit smoother for some reason, dunno maybe its me. For the money its not bad (the Ion is very expensive)
