I received an email telling me to turn the pulse rate of my gyro down to 760. The servo is not plugged into a gyro, but an airtronics receiver. I never said that it was plugged into a gyro. They gave me their number so I guess I have to call them.

You bought our servo.
It don't work for shit, see
So here's our number
So call us maybe.

I'm not sure what's worse? The fact that you made a reference to that terrible song or the fact that I got it and now the song is stuck in my head!

My MKS HBL599 has developed a case of the shakes and is less than a year old running it in a EB48 SL. I too am unable to find any warranty info on MKS, nothing on their web site and have been waiting for about 5 days now to get a response from their "contact us".

Anyone have any contacts at MKS?

So, I reached out to Thomas Cooke at MKS USA this morning and sent him a link to this thread. As I stated earlier, I used to fly RC sailplanes with Thomas and know him fairly well. Thomas asked me to post a reply for him as he does not have an account here.

Thomas said he has replied to your email - if you don't get it, PM me and I will get you his personal email. The servo you bought is a tail servo for helicopters and will only work with a gyro. Contact Thomas to work out an exchange for a servo that will work for RC cars.

lol. This thread turned into a direction I did not expect.

You would think there would be some info on their site stating that this servo needs to be plugged into a gyro to work.

DesertRat

This servo only has 36 oz/in of torque. In what type of vehicle were you planning on using this servo?

Can anyone positively confirm to me the needed thread count for a servo horn for a MKS X5 HBL 550 Servo?

Amain does not say, mks usa does not say. I have heard it is 25 but my metal 25 tooth horn seems to be real tight and do not want to force it.

Propchecku37 10-07-2019 11:51 PM

They are 25 spline. I just ordered 2 for the new buggy

Screw size

What size screw does the HBL550 use for the servo horn?

Goof 10-17-2019 08:19 AM

2.5 like nitro back plate screw
