Howdi to all.. im about to buy my 1st quadcopter and obviously need a few spare batteries..
im going for the Syma X5C-1, nothing to fancy since im a beginner.. i was looking at the Phantom V2+ but i think for £800 its a bit steep for my 1st venture into the hobby.. but oh so tempting
Anyhoo im looking at these batteries LiPo Battery Twinpack - 1s 3.7V 750mAh for Syma X5 - X5C.. now after doing some research online about charging etc its best to try prolong the batteries life as much as possible.. and cheap chargers can possibly cause some damage.. i was originally looking at the iMAX B6 - but after reading so reviews n stuff, it seems this is a cheap copy going around from china and doesnt do a good job..
so basically im just looking for suggestions for a decent battery charger, i do plan staying in this hobby for a long time as im an avid photographer so ariel stuff is some i will really enjoy, so i dont mind paying for a charger that will be work for more powerful batteries in the future or to charge different types of batteries..
Im clueless on chargers, voltage etc etc thats why im here to ask experianced members..
thx again

There are some articles online how to detect a copy from the real. The original is a SkyRC product so a shop selling SkyRC products should provide you the real deal. Nevertheless even the original B6 does know bad stories about tolerances in the balancer. I know with 1S no balancer is needed butin the future you probably will be.
If you can do some solderwork maybe it is an idea to get cheap USB charger boards:

With adding a simple 5v powersupply you can make a multy charge system for 1S batteries.

Re-branded chargers have been out now for many years. I can't even begin to finish the list of "four button" chargers that have the same "guts" and programming flow/manuals. I had searched over and over looking at specs of chargers...the 50watt/1~5A speced charger list is long, and I often wonder who actually makes/sells/agrees to put another RC manufacturers brand's ink on a charger's body.

In the case if the iMax B6 it is not rebranded but realy a cheap manufactured copy.

This is the charger I have been using for years. I couldn't tell you if it's the best or not but it works well. I haven't exploded any batteries and my 3 year old lipos still charge and hold a great charge. Venom AC/DC Pro2 Charger LiIon/LiPo/LiFe/NiCd/NiMH 0677
