I have a DX4C and I'm having trouble disabling AVC...

Instructions say to install a second bind plug in the disable port which I've tried and it doesn't seem to work. Ive left the bind plug in the disable port, which seems to disable it but after turning the ESC back on it seems to reengage it.

Ive tried a few different combinations but so far nothing works...

any tricks?

One way to just be done with it for good would be to pick up a sr410 receiver and sell off your srs4200/4210. You should break even or even pocket a couple of $$s

Other than that, the bind plug left in the disable position and/or dialing the values out on the transmitter should work.

I was under the assumption it was all done with the transmitter... Either way I did it under the AVC tab on the transmitter and believe it to be not effecting my vehicle

You have to go thru the procedure of binding WITH the additional plug in the disable port....after you've completed the binding, remove BOTH bind plugs and AVC should be off.

Adjusting the settings wont disable AVC....at least on both my DX4R and DX4C it didn't. Easy way to test is turn on car(with Tx on of course) and hold RC in air. Swing it left and right and if AVC is still active, the wheels will turn left or right accordingly.

FYI, at least one reason it can't be completely disabled from the transmitter is for racing, rules generally forbid any electric driver aids. If it was only tuned off at the transmitter it would leave doubt if it was turned off during the race. Requiring the binding procedure removes most suspicion.
