Default is it ok to use this esc

i purchased a 3660 ,2600kv brusless motor. can the hobbywing, 80amp. esc run this motor with no problems? thank guys. a real newb here.or should i get the HW 120amp esc.

Depends what car how many volts, gearing etc. It may be fine in a corr truck but not a monster truck

its going into a rustler ,with a 2cell lipo.

That should be plenty of esc for that motor and truck combo.

Won't be an issue, I've run the Ezrun 60A on a VXL Motor (3500kv) Plenty of times.

Look up your Hobbywing ESC and see what motor they say. Not sure which one you have. Most of these ESC will handle down to 5-8T motors, so you should be OK.

The Rustler is light so that's more going for it.

how is that 60amp with the VXL motor? maybe the 60amp will handle my 2600KV with no problems? all im to do is find the perfect esc for that motor,you know? thanks

my rustler is heavy, lol. im just getting this motor just for wheelies,and it was 22.78 ,1.99 shipping . cant go wrong with that,and its blue. thanks

What ESC is suitable depends on a lot of variables, gearing, weight, motor size, amp draw etc. It's not just a blanket case of this ESC for this motor. For your purpose I'd stick with an 80A Esc and the 3660 2600kv motor, the amp draw on that will be more due to the longer can so it has a larger stator and rotor (most are 3650 size)
