The problem is the Spektrum receiver. Especially those old ones that came with the M8 module are very susceptible to brown outs. Also it's not so much the servo draw that does it as the motor draw. Especially if you're running old 20c batteries or something.

I think the receiver that came with the module is an SR3000 that I'm running in my nitro buggy with a 5 cell receiver pack, that has given me no issues.

The receiver in the stadium truck is the SR3001 Pro Series, still just DSM but not as old as the SR3000.

I'm running Nano-Tech A-Spec shorty packs, I believe they're labeled 65-130C.
