So I bought a HW SC8 ESC to replace a blown CC SV3 but I can't calibrate it. I'm using an axial ar3 radio. I hold the set button down until the red led flashes but when I press it to set neutral it stops and the ESC just stops doing anything (the fan keeps spinning though). The motor twitches and beeps in sync with the red led. I've tried the throttle on nor and rev trim on full either side and neutral. The battery (2s lipo) is fully charged, I've tried the motor connectors in all combinations. Nothing is working. Is it possible the motor is stuffed and it's upsetting the ESC? It's a 1406 cc 5700kv.

I just sorted it. The receiver is broken.. Oh well, time to spend more money :/
