Default futaba 3gr question

i opened up the back of my 3gr 2.4ghz controller and on the centre circuit board there is a switch that says general on one side and france on the other. it is in the general position.

anyone know what it is for?

i wanted to try change my stick positions so throttle is on the right. i was hoping it might have been for that but wasn't the case. the one thing i did notice was the model came up in ppm mode instead of hrs but i wouldn't have thought it be country specific.

any thoughts?

cheers
jason

Believe France has slightly different 2.4GHz radio regulations, I've seen a similar setting on other transmitters.
