DX4C

I've got an issue that I'm hoping someone can help me with. My father purchased a new Dx4c and gave me his car to put his new ESC in and get it track ready (yes I'm his mechanic now...making me pay him back for grasshopper parts runs in the 80s). I'm decently farmliar with Spektrum radios as I race with a DX4R pro, but this radio and its included reciever are mind bogglingly complex to bind and go. Obviously participating in races I wanted to first bind, calibrate and disable AVC which I did following the instructions. Here is the issue: once bound the steering is great but the throttle doesn't engage until the trigger is pulled a little bit more than half way. I've tested my dx4r and a receiver with the ESC and motor combo and there is no lag and works great but switching back to the dx4c it has this dead area where nothing occurs until the trigger is more than half way down. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits end with this thing.

Quick question guys. Excuse my ignorance if this is a dumb question. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Doesn't seem to say anything on what receivers you can't bind to in the manual. I just bought a used Traxxas summit which came with the 2.4ghz tq1 receiver but no radio. I also bought the dx4c. Can you not bind the spectrum radio with the Traxxas receiver?

I work at an RC shop and sell those DX4C daily and i can confirm that the newer version does NOT work with DSM receivers.
We tried with 3 different DX4c and one SR300 and two SR301 receivers and neither would bind. Those Rx binds with DX3c just fine, but no luck with the DX4c.
So the DX4c is now compatible with DSMR and DSM2 ONLY.

I'm fairly new to this receiver but I want to use it on my 2 speed transmission on my crawler. That I can see, the only button available would be the E button, but how do i get it to move from point A to point B and back with just the push of the button. I don't want to have to hold down the button. Or is this the wrong transmitter to do it with.

I am impressed with my dx4c as a novice racer I guess. I just bought a spectrum something or other 200. And it's DSM. I try to bind and the receiver light goes out I just bought it from my track "brand new in box" I put the part number in Google and it comes up with "newer" but still the same same with DSMR TECHNOLOGY, from what I'm reading it's not going to work. Question is do I make the hobby shop/track take it back because I was uneducated I don't know it was 30 bucks don't know if it's worth it
