I just got a IMAX B6AC+ so it may be operator difficulty. I have several problems with small ( 4 cell 180 mah nimh) batterys.
1. The discharge/charge cycle leaves it so low that when I try to charge It gives me a "connection break" error but it will charge fine on the charger that came with the battery.
2. Not sure where to set the "D PEAK" for nimh. If I set it to the default it does not fully charge the battery's. ( all nimh, not just the small ones) I think I have it set to "8" at the moment.
3. the "MAH" reading at end of charge seems to low for the battery capacity. ( only on the little battery's) Thanks; Don

1. When using the discharge>charge setting you set the charge and discharge rates on their respective screens before starting. For such small batteries I would highly recommend the auto charge rate no higher than 0.2A. Always use 0.9V per cell discharge voltage for nimh, or 3.6V for your 4-cell pack. Make sure you are using discharge>charge rather than charge>discharge, if you want the pack to be charged at the end of the cycle. It sounds to me like it is set to charge>discharge and too low of a discharge voltage.

2. I set delta peak by battery temperature at the moment of peak. It is a pain to closely watch each battery, but once you get a good idea what each one likes you should be able to forget about it. For a fast charge under 2 hours I like to see temps around 120-125*F for nimh or nicd. For slower charging 100-110*F indicates the battery is fully charged. Keep in mind batteries that are not at full health or that have been sitting for awhile can "false peak" several times and the charge process will need to be restarted until the proper temerature has been reached. This is where raising the delta peak can be handy to eliminate these false peaks.

3. Properly setting the delta peak as described above will ensure you fully charge the batteries every time. I rarely expect the MAH put in or out of a battery to be exactly as the pack is rated, but it should be somewhat close if the battery is from a reputable manufacturer and in relatively good health.

in the settings (from battery select) you can set it to use delta peak for each battery type

Ill just add that most nimh should be within a pretty close range, but some brands and sizes may prefer slightly different delta settings.
