Is my new Traxxas Rustler VXL supposed to do this sound? (includes video)
Hi!
I've just bought a new traxxas rustler vxl. Only driven it for about 2-3 packs. Don't know if it made this sound from the beginning, or even if it did, it it's supposed to sound like this. Notice when the engine almost stops, at low rpm:s , it does some high pitched noises that in my ears, doesn't sound very good. Then again, i'm totally new with brushless motors. Thanks!

thats normal traxxas tranny sounds
you can quiet it some by adding more greese to the tranny, but it wont shut it up completely

You should see a 4 pole motor and a steel Spur on steel pinion... Passing by... sounds like a F1 1:1 car!
Anyway, ad some lube to whatever gear/dogbones/cvd's you see.... dry lube is good cause it will not attract dirt as the normal ones. It's is generally found in the bikes section.... serious byciclists only use dry lube! :P
There is Rc version of it.. but it's the same thing with RC written on it!

Normal gear noise. You might check the mesh of the pinion and spur, sounds a tad loose, but nothing to worry about.
