Problem with ordering over seas is if you ever have an issue and it needs warranty work, guess where you are sending it? :) back over seas.

There's usually a Futaba dealership or official location in each country that you can send the Radio for any warranty covered repairs. As long as you have the receipt you should be ok. Try and see if you can find the local dealer closest to you through Google and give them a call to ask how an overseas purchase would be covered by warranty with them.

This Radio looks Amazing!!!!! and I have a feeling that the responds time difference between this and the M12 will micro fractional and not detectable to touch and feel, unless you're part machine :)

The best option, however, is to hold both Radios that you're picking between and see which one you like best.

I have asked a few Futaba dealers when I was purchasing my 4pksr and thats the response I was given. I was told they keep track of where they send their units. So a unit with a serial number that was sent to Japan would need to be returned to Japan for warranty work. Granted Futaba is extremely reliable. But its still a roll of the dice.

Completely understandable.
They are up for pre-order on Tower for Late August so that may be a safer bet for folks in the US.

Anybody know a rough eta drop for oz!? Keen.

TASMANIAC 05-27-2014 11:05 PM

Ok. So has anyone noticed if there's a drop down option for the wheel included in this?

Does this have the lap timer? Also if not how does the lap timer work on other models?

On my Sanwas you can assign any button or switch to start/stop the timer. Both of my two different Sanwas have a little switch which can be activated almost just by moving the thumb slightly, so that you maintain a good grip on the controller.

I would guess it works in the same manner on the Futaba's as well.

From Futaba Australia.........

I can only hope that we have stock in Sept-Oct and will not know pricing until closer to the time.

Should do. My 4PLS does, you can assign buttons to do it and/or also link it to throttle.

Agreed. It's quite a work of art. I've been stalking my Local Hobby Shop since I saw the 4PX on BigSquid :)

So with a lap timer you need to assign a button then hit it every time you go by, is this correct? Not trying to sound nubish but never messed with any lap timer on any remote before. Had the rtr losi remote and then the Ko Propo ex 10. Have had it for over 2 years but looking for something with telemetry so I can monitor my receiver battery, and with the vast option of receivers it will use I don't have to worry about the dang expensive Ko receivers anymore.

I mean how much difference will there be between the 4pls and the 4px? Not worried about the price and I have a guy that constantly goes back and forth between Vietnam and Japan so I might be able to get one earlier if I wanted the 4px, I just figure new is much better, but how good is the 4pls?

Yes you would need to hit the lap timer button each lap.

Lap timer works great on a 4pk's especially on practice days. It will store all the laps (Many). The button on the handle is position for ergonomics its very easy to hit as you pass the timing line.
