I'm building a 1/18-1/14th carpet track in my basement so I can practice in the winter months since none of the indoor tracks have handicap drivers stands around me..

The track is going to be 43x22 for the most part with one part being an extra ten feet wide. so part of it will be 28 by 32.. If that makes sense. lanes will be 5 foot

Some of my friends are also going to get Mini 8's and run too so I'm looking for a lap counter so we can race. I'm looking at the Robitronic lap counter and the Trackmate system. both transponders are about the same price so what one would you guys recommend?
