Default Latency problems with airtronics

I recently bought an airtronics mx-v, per good reviews and the reasonable price. I love everything about it. The waterproof receiver, nice screen and easy to read, but I'm having really bad latency problems. When I'm within like 50ft or so of the car, it works just fine, but any farther and the latency is easy to notice. If I go VERY far away but still within range, sometimes it actually takes a full second for the command to reach the vehicle. It makes it annoying to use it and hard to drive. I have the antenna on the rx fully extended and it has not been damages at all. Any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

I dont think you have latency issue there is something wrong with your tx. Have you contacted Airtronics about your problem. It could also be an interference issue to me. I have its predacessor, the mx3 sport and it was a great radio with great range and no issues what so ever.

You should be fine. Even the cheapest Airtronics don't do that unless something is wrong. Just for fun try this old trick. Unplug the motor. Turn the car on. You walk away while testing the steering..... see how far you get. If it's significantly different then you may have an esc/motor issue affecting the signal.

If you do find an issue I am sure Airtronics will stand behind the warranty. I damaged my radio and took it to my LHS to see if it could be fixed. MY LHS sent it in to Airtronics as a repair all of paperwork submitted stated operator error. To my surprise 10 day later I get a call that my repaired TX was back and repaired under warranty.

I think its beyond the warranty. Do you think cold weather could be the culprit? because when this is happening its about 10-15 degrees outside where I'm running it.

Alright I will call airtronics tomorrow and see what they say, because I had brand new batteries in the tx and the antenna fully extended on the rx. Maybe they'll help me out with it. thanks guys
