Default Capturing video while driving

Today I tried to use my notsosmartphone to capture one of my practice session, it's near impossible holding the phone and drive with one hand if the controller is the GT3B, I drove with the pinkie and palm while holding the phone but it needs constant corrections and it's distracting.
What I'm trying is to attach the phone to a controller, has anyone found a way to do this?

Best thing to do if you have the extra cash to spend is to buy a Gopro camera. Get the head strap and you can record while your racing your car.

+1. The GoPro is an excellent bit of kit. Mine has taken a real pounding recently and just keeps on ticking!

Seems the best option, I'll have to test with a regular camera. One thought that went across my mind was to butcher a tripod and saw the legs off and use the upper part screwed to my GT3B.

The budget choice would be to get somebody else to hold the camera

There are clamping type adapters that will get the job done solo much cheaper than a new camera. Just google them up... I found a few like this:

and this

The Motorsport edition kit of the Gopro comes with various mounts. The 3M sticky pad mount is brilliant. I have one stuck to the top of my HPI 5SC Flux. Even after several roll overs (oops!) the camera stayed fitted albeit with some new battle scars!

I'm trying to get some dudes who know how to properly capture and take photos to be more on the track, but thing is they don't always show up at the track when I can. So the mount is a great idea.

i have no friends & my GoPros go *onto* the car

so i bought these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Velcro-Strap...-/281272360510

handy for strapping a camera (with tripod screwhole)
to your wrist or flat top of some TXes like the KO Mars.
Use zipties & ducktape if velcro ain't long enough.
