Got mine today, it is pretty sick.

DSMR no longer working on Orange RX

Looks like the new DX4R PRO runs on DSMR technology and may be compatible with DSM and DSM2 but it no longer binds to the ORANGE branded receivers anymore. It's a good way to protect the Spektrum brand. Can any other person besides myself concur what my findings are?

may somebofy measure the diameter of the wheel?
Thanks in advance

If it's possible, I wouldn't put this past Spektrum for doing just that to preserve sales on $100 receivers when those $14 receivers work great.

I have one of the receivers and just picked up the DX4R Pro yesterday, so I'll be testing to see if this is the case tonight.

I can verify - will not bind to Orange DSM2/clone receiver.

No problems binding to Spektrum DSM2 receivers, registers as DSM2/5.5ms frame rate (if thats what framerate you chose). The SR410 appears to live up to the "sport" moniker and binds as DSMR/11ms, while the SR2000 as DSMR/5.5ms.

I'm guessing this is one of the true "upgrades" of this radio from the manufacturers perspective to prevent binding to clones. And I suppose it is their right to do so, but does suck for those trying to save some cash on receivers for their multiple vehicles.

Steering wheel including foam measures 57mm. Without foam is 50mm.

I also have the Futaba 4PLS and with that radio, every receiver that binds to the radio has a signature number. It works quite different then the Spektrum brand.

Mine is on it's way as well, man I thought the wheel was way to big originally I thought it was just the angle of the picture but after the measurement was taken with the calipers it confirmed:lol:
