Looks like it was ment to be there

I really like the rotors and caliber LOL

I kinda like the big wheel that mine has.:tire:

What wheel did you use and how did you attach it?

TeamCarnage 01-29-2016 01:25 PM

:tire::tire::tire::tire: Looks racy! What brand is it? Did it mate right up?

Rac3rX 01-29-2016 04:17 PM

Believe it or not it's a clone from China that cost 16$ its made of aluminum and comes as a kit with the rotor. Originals are like 75$.

All these wheels come with 3 lil adaptor things, the one for Spectrum is for the DX3 BUT fits good on the DX4 if you sand down the outer lip of the mount piece.

The rotor fits the wheel base, it won't work with a stock wheel.

I and many found the stock wheel way too big, no problemo it can be resolved. Also the foam feels much better than stock. Stock feels cheap

Glad y'all like it, I love it, lil bit of Trick

Only gripe was it took a month and a half to arrive from china

Link to where it was purchased?

Just hit up eBay or any of the online hobby shops. There are tons of these things listed in different colours and styles. Integy is the most common brand, but there are knock offs. This one looks like an Integy.

Easy enough to find one that fits the radio, but hard to find one you KNOW is smaller, so not so easy to find what you are looking for.
It helps when someone actually posts up one that is really smaller and puts a link up to help others looking for the same thing, you know, what this site is actually for, helping each other.

Looks really nice, just ordered one up. See how long it takes to get here :)

Good points. Nice looking wheel, too. I may have to order one, but I'd run without the brake disc. I've noticed the Integy ones still come with the 3 adapters, but no longer claim to fit Spektrum, unless you buy another adapter. Seems like Horizon Hobby is throwing their weight around again.

Do not hold your breath, trust me. And pre tap the screws a bit. Work them in a bit before you add the wheel so when you add the wheel they go right in. Plastics yah know.

Can get the adaptor alone for 5$

Futaba. These fit and they're stronger. Futm3640 - heavy duty gimbal spring.

Is it just me, or does the battery life on this radio blow chunks? I got maybe 4 hours out of a set of AAs. I'm guessing it uses the same voltage regulator they used in the DX2.0. With my DX4S, I was averaging 37 hours.

Any suggestions for a decent lifepo4 pack?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-pcs-2500mW...EAAOxyj4hTJrgp Try these and you need the charger as well. They last for weeks of racing. Stay away from the loud orange ones, not as good. I bought two packs a year ago and no problems at all, plus they show 7.1 volts when you turn it on!
