On the battery issue, I wish Spektrum would try the 18650 batteries in this radio. They are 6800 mah, and 3.7 volts. I use these batteries in my Cree headlamp, and they are very powerful. It would only take two in series to do the job.

So does the hobbyking ORX receivers work with the DX4R Pro for sure? I have the original DX3R & they work fine with it...I'm just feeling like it's time for a new transmitter, but I still would rather spend $10 on receivers than $100 on the overpriced spektrum receivers.

Has anyone had issues with a throttle delay between the DX4R and the SR2000 rx?
For some reason I occasionally get about a half second delay between when I pull the throttle and when the car starts to move. Huge problem when starting a main. ETA: I have the nizn batteries with voltage displayed between 6.6-7.2 during use. I also run a savox servo. There is no delay with steering or any 'glitching'. It just has a delayed trigger. tried it in two different vehicles. |

Horizon needs to get with the program and offer a LiFe pack that fits properly in the bottom without modification. It would work in the 3S, 3R, 3R Pro, all the new 4's, would be light weight, great power, plenty of life to race for a long weekend. Easy charging... doesn't seem that hard of a choice. |

Helped a friend get his dialed in a couple weeks ago with the same problem. It was in the AVC area of the menu ( not the "AVC" itself). I think it was traction control or something like that. Even though it was set at zero, you still had to turn it off for it to work without that initial hesitation. After that, everything was fine. He ended up beating me that day:flaming: Should have helped him after the main:lol:
Any other thoughts? |

My ABS and Traction control is set to 'inhibit' which is off right? Tried re-binding, binding at 11ms frame rate, re-calibrating esc, still happens.
Any other thoughts? So in order, ABS, Traction, AVC are all off. Speedo calibrated. Frame Rate shouldn't matter. No other setting like the "Throttle Up" feature is on or active.. Do you have any adjustment on your speedo like current limiter.... What kind of motor and speedo... Sensored. Does it only do it at the start tone. Or if you come to a stop and wait a second or 2, will it do it again. Like a bad sensor board or wire... |

Yes, Inhibit is off. Did you re-bind the RX and turn the AVC off?? Stupid question I know, but hard to tell from over the keyboard.

I can't remember a throttle up menu but I'm pretty sure I went through everything and turned them off. It seems to only happen after it's been sitting for about 5-10 seconds. Once it's moving I think it's all good. |
Custom Wheel Change Help
All,
Sorry to budge in here with this non-related question... But I am looking to change the steering wheel to a custom wheel. Can anyone offer any help or provide a link to video of how to properly change a wheel on the 4R? I just got one about a week ago, but demo-ed a 4R with a smaller steering wheel and want to switch over. Thanks. |

I had the same situation, thought for sure it was the receiver, I was wrong, my sensor wire on the speedo had come out just a little bit causing the issue. Are you running sensored motor? Check that, and dont check by looking, cause mine looked to be in, then I pressed on the connector with a allen wrench, and it went in.
