Yep, I googled several in less than a minute. You can start with Amazon.

He just wants to complain.

Guess my sarcasm was too subtle.

I bought a new rs pro from my local hobby shop that they had left and hooked it up and ran two heats with it and when I went to run my third heat I plugged it in and a big puff of smoke came out of it.... its toast ... no I didn't hook it up wrong as my positive lead can't reach my negitive post on the battery... I usually run viper but I thought I would give tekin a try... do other people have this problem?

I've had similar experiences with other Tekin esc's but people here will either say it's hooked up wrong or a Tekin employee will come in and say it's not a problem with the esc (at least that's been my experience, let's see how yours goes).

No not typical at all. If you have your reciept Tekin customer service is second to none. Give them a call for an RMA number and send it in. I have had extremely good luck with all my tekin equipment as a lot of people have.

NO rs pros on amazon. where are the others? You haven't found a single one. Kits with odd kv motors don't count either. You can act like it was easy to find something but yet you have failed finding a single rs pro from a Tekin dealer. keep trying though! Post links.

It's really no biggie anymore. With the recent hints that it will be a 2014 eta... I have given up and will be switching brands. I have to in order to race my buggy. Tekin learned nothing from the RX8 debacle..... which also caused me many months of downtime. I'm just done holding out for products that are not anywhere close to being available and zero old stock to hold over. Lot's of people are being forced to do the same.

Where did you see they were hinting at 2014? Last I saw on one of these threads by someone from Tekin was before the end of the year.

First place I looked.

Combo is cheaper then the ESC alone. Sell the motor on here.

What are you putting the ESC in?

Randy_Pike 10-23-2013 11:24 AM

Guys, let it go. He's not really "looking" for anything other than a place to complain. Moving on...

BRSracing 10-23-2013 12:15 PM

I borrowed a friends Viper to run til the RSX is out. I will run it tonight for the first time. I must say the Tekin Hotwire is much more friendly to use.

Wildcat1971 10-23-2013 12:19 PM

I disagree, but I rarely use the PC software. Only the viper pro gauge. Only use the PC software to reset to factory defaults or firmware upgrade. All of the esc's functionality is accessible from the PG. Has tekin released an eta on the Tekin app? I saw some pics a while ago of it being tested.

ArmySSG 10-23-2013 12:42 PM

This ESC Looks sick.. to be honest looks alone kills the RX8 GEN2 IMO.. It's great that Tekin makes products where the only thing that you can complain about or debate is looks! With that being said.. any cool guy cases for the RX8 Gen2 coming out lol!

Laurila 10-23-2013 12:52 PM

I have a RS Pro and a RS. Never had a problem. Great ESC's. Customer Support awesome too. Although, they wont make it into a vehicle until the app comes out.
