hello, I am using the RS pro now and like the fact that I can use the binding posts and put a small fan there, i run either a 17.5 or mod 10.5 and with a fan there the temps are very good. for this RSX, is it the same? I mean, if I don't use the fan on the top but rather put the fan blowing to the binding posts would it give same effect to cool the esc like the RS pro? i was hoping to put the cap on the top of this RSX esc as i am doing for my RS pro.

is the alu heat sink removable? and can i just cool the esc with a fan blowing to the binding posts?

thanks

The RSX is over kill for a 10.5 and certainly a 17.5.

Are you calling the "binding posts" the solder posts?

The cap on the RSX is best mounted on the back if possible to keep the leads short.

yes, solder posts. will it give better performance compared with rs pro? ie does it go faster? I like the size of the rs pro but I am looking for an edge against the orcas, speed passions where I am. so, if this gives the edge, then ok.

i mount the cap on my rs pro on the top of the esc, its out of the way and keeps the overall footprint of the esc the same.

The RS Gen 2 would be a better option for you for the motors you are running. Plastic case will be slightly lighter and there should be no performance difference between the RS Gen2 and the RSX as far as power or otherwise for the motors you are running. The RS Pro is over kill as well and taller and heavier. The RS Gen 2 will meet all your needs.

by the way,
Randy Pike did an amazing article in VRC mag newest edition!
He explains lots of the settings in hotwire from 1/10 scale offroad and touring car to 1/8 scale! check it out!
He needs to put this link on Tekin's website!

Yes it can. In most crawlers though only the RS Gen2 is needed. In THIS application the RS gen2 can run them. You simply need to use one of the setups we have posted on our website. Ty our webmaster has a good one to use a starting point.

On 2s it's a great scale setup.

Any hints on the timeframe for this thing? Are we talking weeks or months?

just a heads up everyone.....

the day i get my hands on one of these RSX's I'm gonna do a video review......

I'll compare it to my LRP flow works team and the Orion R10 Pro!

I'm historically a TEKIN fan....so I'm most likely going to outfit my entire stable with RSX's if my review goes well!

 It's obviously going to be awhile. Sometime next year is a good guess. They simply avoid even trying to answer the most common question about the RSX.
