You won't be disappointed with the RSX.

Yup what he said ^^^ . Good choice.

Tekin's new hotwire

In Hotwire on a PC the throttle and brake frequencies are 1 thru 12. But on the mobile app beta they are 4 or 5 digit numbers. How do I change frequencies at the track with my mini pad. Do I still need to bring the PC. And when is this going to be on the iPhone?

The app does vary a bit. Make sure your using the latest version of both the app and the Hotwire PC software.

You should be able to type in 12k on the app for example and save it without issue.

The iPhone app will launch along side the upcoming Hotwire 3.0 with BlueTooth.

Awesome thanks! I was looking at Tekins site to find a good starting point on settings, didn't have lots of luck with 8.5. Also Randy would you recommend endbell timing in the 40/45 range like I do on my gen3 17.5's? Been a while since I raced mod as 17.5 has been so popular. My kids and I run RS2's and love them, so I'm sure I will love the RSX as well.

I just subscribed to this thread
looking for RSX 13.5 4wd class setups! thanks!
I run the D413 car

Casper 03-02-2017 03:30 PM

I run a RS Gen 2 speed in my 22-4 for 13.5. remember this is a spec class so weight is important (to an extent).

RS Gen 2 will easily push a 13.5 in a 4wd buggy and saves about 20grams. All the adjust ability of the RSX. Of course if you already have an RSX gets the job done as well.

I will see if I can post up my current settings for my 4wd buggy.

thanks,
I asked about blinky at my track but it's NOT blinky
kinda defeats the purpose!
I already have rsx with a 6.5
gearing i know will change
thinking 33/72 start?

Casper 03-02-2017 04:02 PM

If you are not running blinky I agree might as well run open. I am not sure how much info is out there for timed setups. All I can say is be a little careful. The lastest software put out by tekin the boosted settings are much more agressive than they were for older software setups you might find out there. I would start by not adding more than about 20-25 timing on boost and then start playing from there. I am not sure on the internal ratio of the D413 so Randy should chime in soon and may be able to help with a good starting gearing.

Gearing on a D413 with a 6.5 should be down in the 18-19T range, not a 33 tooth.

33/72 is 17.5 or 13.5 gearing.

txili 03-06-2017 02:06 PM

good.
do you know if the new gen3 redline have the same power as the old gen2?.
or an made as other brands making them more sweet?

gen2 5.5t = gen3 5.5t
