I just ordered my RSX/7.5 combo for my new AE B5RM and I will be running on mid sized outdoor med grip clay based tracks built for both 8th scale and 10th scale races. Any suggestions on what settings to start at? Any advice would be great. Thanks guys.

You can, there's just no benefit to running an RSX over say an RS Gen2.

If all a driver plans to do is run stock, I'd suggest the RS Gen2 or RS Gen2 Spec before I suggest and RSX 10:1.

Will the rsx run the Reedy mach 2 motors? I really like the look of them.

That isn't a "Demo" mode unless your android OS is 4.2 or higher. IS it?

No, the regular hotwire will work as long as you're using an OTG Cable. TO check the cable and your device, use it to hook up to a jump drive or USB keyboard, etc.

Some phones require the car to be powered up since the phone doesn't provide enough power on it's own.

I know this is an offroad forum - but I found a nice perk of the RSX over my RS G2 ESC on an Awesomatix TC in stock class. It is a bit heavier (15g or so) and I needed some more weight on that side of the car. Worked out great to balance and... it looks pretty damn nice

Only thing that is tough on the setup in the Awesomatix mounting is the arrangement of the poles on the motor to the poles on the ESC.

But yeah, what Randy said - no difference in feel, or performance. the ESC does stay a bit cooler than the RS G2 though just based on having a big metal heatsink on it, which in theory should reduce on-resistance with the fets over a run.

How many of you are using the fan or just leaving it off on your RSXs? I just picked up an RSX for my Associated SC10.2 FT running a Tekin Redline 8.5T and am curious if I really need to install the fan.

Running a 4WD buggy with a 8.5 and haven't needed the fan so far.
