Randy I'm looking for a speedo to put in my 22 2.0 I'll be racing 17.5 but every once in awhile will drop maybe 8.5 in it. My question is should I invest in the rsx or RS gen2? Will I get any more benefits out of RSX compared to RS

RS Gen2 will more than cover that setup. I run an 8.5 and RS Gen2 in my 22T all day long.

The RSX won't give you a benefit other than handling hotter motors later down the road should you choose to move it to another car, etc.

Both have data logging, ez port, HV bec, etc etc.

What is the major different between Hotwire and Hotwire 2.0?

Randy_Pike 02-06-2014 09:54 AM

Improved connectivity with "exterior" devices...

I am running an 8 yrs old laptop with Hotwire 1.0 on RX8 g2, RSX and RS pro now. Will Hotwire 2.0 make a different? Will 2.0 work on RS pro? I have no plan getting an android device yet.

Casper, what turn motor are you using with this set-up? and what is your end bell timing set at?
Thanks Ron

Yes it will be backwards compatible with Gen1 esc's. Will it be better than your Hotwire Gen1 on your pc? No.

I run a 8.5 with Gen 2 RS in my SCT and it runs great. No problems at all.

Just ordered the RSX and will be using this on a 2wd buggy(Serpent MM) with 7.5t. Any suggestions for a good starting esc setting for indoor clay with med-high grip? Thanks.

I'd maybe go back 1 page and see this link and start there. I count 5 7.5 2wd buggy RSX setups.

Just got mine today:D. Spend an hour to put it in. Find the best way to put the cap is horizontal which didn't interfere the sensor port and the cap secure to the case. I notice the esc will make a lite beep once every few second. Is it normal?
