Massive overkill for the 17.5 for any circumstances, just right for mod, even boosted, but, yes it will work for both.

But when you say overkill, is it going to hurt anything?

Definitely won't hurt anything. Just heavier and more expensive than you need in 17.5.

So I ask because I recently bought a lrp flow works team for my 2wd buggy and it's incredibly smooth and until then I was 100% tekin so just wondering if the RSX would do the trick for my 2wd SC! We run 17.5 mod during winter but open during summer so want something for both, I already have a rs gen2 but it's not as smooth as the flow

What settings are you running if you say it's not as smooth as the flow?

Here's a breakdown on the weight of the two speedo's since weight was brought up.

I don't remember off the top of my head, what do you suggest for a d3.5 17.5 w a rs gen2 on a SC w 20t pinion and 82(or 84?) spur and how much timing on the d3.5?

As I don't have any experience with the D3.5 I'm not too sure where you should start with your gearing or motor timing. What gearing are other guys using? Once you know what your speedo settings are I'm sure that we can get you to the smoothness you are searching for. Take a look on the Tekin site for set up's. Are you running your SC in blinky/spec mode?

Possibly. I never even removed the fan from it's bag. Heat hasn't been an issue thus far.
