I know the obvious difference between the RS Gen2 and RSX is the motor size you can use with them.... But aside from that is there any other advantage the RSX offers over the RS? Such as smoothness settings etc?

If you were to run a RS Gen2 and RSX back to back with say a 10.5, setting for setting, no you wouldn't notice.

The Pro2 will work on the RSX. They critical factor will be the model/car weight. Keeping in line with the 4lb car limit an RSX and Pro2 in a 2wd will work just fine.
The team is all running the RSX this week at worlds. Any ETA info will be shared after the event is over. What you see in all the media coverage is production unit save for some fan shroud parts.
I'll share some data logs of their performance once I get the thumbs up from the boss if some of you are interested to see where Lutz, JR Mitch and the rest of the team is running temp wise. FYI, both of those guys are using 5.5's in 4wd mod buggy.
As always team drivers will get this equipment before public release so if you have a team driver check out his/her car as most will be getting them shortly after Worlds.

If I were to use a 4 Pole SC 540 motor at 7200 KV in either of those vehicles would I be asking for trouble, or would that be just fine?
I currently run a Pro2 5800 in my 22SCT, but I do have a 7200 KV Quad 4XS in the toolbox with a 1/8" output shaft.
I want to be able to have fun and see the limits of things without letting any smoke out.

Would like to get more info on the use of 4 poles with the RSX. I would be inclined to use this in both a 22SCT and the upcoming HB D413, so the weight should not be an issue. But there must still be a limit.

Tekin is usually very reserved on what they say their ESC's are capable of. If one of the tekin guys comes on & says it will work, to me, that means they tested & abused that combo as much as they could & did break it. If they don't say it works, I take it they have not tested the crap out of that combo. I also think we will eventually see people running (whether tekin says it works or not
) 4 pole motors in wheelers sooner rather than later. Although, why you would need more torque in one of these mini-monsters is beyond me

hello, I am using the RS pro now and like the fact that I can use the binding posts and put a small fan there, i run either a 17.5 or mod 10.5 and with a fan there the temps are very good. for this RSX, is it the same? I mean, if I don't use the fan on the top but rather put the fan blowing to the binding posts would it give same effect to cool the esc like the RS pro? i was hoping to put the cap on the top of this RSX esc as i am doing for my RS pro.
is the alu heat sink removable? and can i just cool the esc with a fan blowing to the binding posts?
thanks
