Default GT3C Hack Help Please!!

So I got the Overkill RC hack for my GT3C but now I'm stuck.
I installed the connector and downloaded the new firmware and installed it, but I cannot get to the regular calibrate section. According to the instructions on their site as soon as you turn it on it should take you to a "calibrate" mode (it says it will even flash "CAL" for a few seconds and then 6 menu items will blink). This will not happen for me, it just says "Model 0 M00". If I press and hold the enter button it takes me into the global section where I can make changes so I know the firmware is installed, but for the love of god no matter what I do (or how many times I reinstall the firmware) I cannot calibrate the radio like it says. I have sent several e-mails to Overkill with no response.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks guys.

LOL. Good thing I have a backup...
It honestly looks pretty good so far and I think I am just missing something obvious (i.e. they forgot to include it in the directions) but it is frustrating nonetheless. I will definitely update if I find a solution.
Some stuff has worked (the scroll wheel now goes in the right direction).

An update would be great when you get one.

I plan on ordering this radio in the next few weeks and am going to hack it right away.
