Default Tekin rs issue

Having a strange issue with my Tekin rs.

Went to power it up today (soldered new leads on). Plugged in the 2s lipo, turned it on and nothing happened (no lights, sound, blinks etc). The on off switch is clean, all solder points are solid, battery is charged etc. So this is where it gets odd. I start to remove the esc from the truck, unsolder the leads from the motor (sonic 10.5). Once it is all disconnected I decide to hit the on off switch one more time. For some reason now it has power (blinking solid red).

What would cause it to not power up when soldered to the motor yet once it's all disconnected, it turns on as it should... It was connected properly, a-a, b-b etc.

Thanks in advance.

I have seen a failed motor cause that. I have also seen a failed sensor board shorting to winds to cause a no light issue. Also possible sensor wire is shorted.

A bad motor can cause this. Do you have a known good spare handy?

Ok so I've narrowed the issue down a little further. The esc powers up fine until I plug it into the throttle port on my sr300 receiver. Unplug it from the receiver, powers up fine, plug it in to the receiver, nothing. Any ideas?

Have you tried another receiver?

Yep, same result on 3 different receivers. The receivers themselves all worked perfectly with everything except the Esc in question.

Ok, spoke to our Support Team and they mentioned that they've talked to you about this and recommended you send in the esc. Please check your email
