Default Issue with CC Sidewinder SCT ESC

Ok, please bear with me as I am very new to RC cars/trucks.

I have a Losi SCTE that is running the CC Sidewinder SCT/ 1410 (3800KV) combo. Was running at the track perfectly fine, nothing got hot. Changed the battery, and nothing turned on. So I thought maybe I forgot to charge the fresh battery i put in, so I tried another. Still nothing! I have tried everything I can think of to try to get my ESC to just turn on, and nothing seems to be working. If I plug into my computer using Castle Link, everything links up and the ESC turns on fine. None of the wires are pinched/crimped, batteries are fully charged, just not turning on using the battery.

Could it be that just the switch is bad on the ESC? If so, can I just bypass using a switch altogether and just have the ESC turn on (hopefully) by just plugging in a battery?

Any help would be appreciated.

Truck ran and operated perfectly fine before battery went low and swapped out to fresh battery.

Castle power switches are known for being fragile, iv'e replaced all but one of mine. Easy way to check is cut the wire, strip the ends and twist them together. If it turns on you know the switch is bad. Iv'e been buying these from Radioshack:

On the side of the ESC is a sticker that says "Castle Creations"

That's your problem!

Thanks Hoyt, that was the problem. Gonna hit radio shack tomorrow for a new switch. And Nexus, I'm slowly coming to the realization....
