Did everyone miss the new datalogging feature? Personally, I'd like more information on that. I like my EagleTree but it gets to be a pain if you want to see anything more than battery volts and amps...

I think the main benefit people are looking for is to get the same kind of price as everyone else is AND the coupon tied to it, especially if you have a membership discount. That is why it would be nice to have the item the same list price as everyone else

But I agree, shop around and see what is the best overall deal. Pretty much any of the places that will price-match won't let you use their coupons. heck, getting amain to pricematch some parts took away their free shipping even though the total was still over there $25 threshold.

As it sits now, tower is about $195 for the ESC with discounts.

Wrong brand. But if you're referring to the "competition" that is the MMP, yes, you can change the voltage (even in fine increments)...but it only puts out 2 amps so it still isn't good.

The voltage setting on the castle link is mostly used in pair with the CC external 10A bec. Like justpoet said, the bec on the MMP is weak to say the least.

I own both RX8 and MMP, and both work great with CCbec and savox HV servos

I use the cc bec with a hitec hv (7945th) servo, I went hitec over savox because it's not as loud then later realized it doesn't matter because the truck is so fast it gets out of earshot in a second or two.

At any rate I'm trying to talk myself out of the rx8g2 since I seem to have gotten a good egg gen1 but I would like to rewire and be able to ditch the cc bec. We'll see.

Funny because I have a 7940TH lying around and hesitate to replace my 1268SG that makes so much noise. How do you like the 7945TH?

It's been great but keep in mind I strictly bash with my mbx6t. Seems to have plenty of torque and is quite smooth (and mostly quiet).
