Hmmmm have you talked to them about our issue? Maybe they will have an idea what's going on. I hope I can solve this soon.

Yes, I did talk with them. They all looked at me like " oh my god! A tekin product biting the dust right out of the box??" And I look back at them with the exact same look

My personal opinion is that the internal bec in the gen 2 unit is faulty some how. But then again I'm not a tekin tech and have no idea what I'm talking about.
My gen2 is up at tekin right now. I sent it in last week and it arrived at their facility on Wednesday. I should be hearing from them early this week I would imagine. As soon as I hear something I will post immediately. I emailed randy about this situation last Sunday and he shot me an RA# pretty quick to get it sent in. I'm thinking you should go ahead and follow tekin procedure and get it to them.

Guys if any of you are having issues it's always best to contact [email protected]

along with the car, servo, radio system, batteries, connectors, etc that are in the car right out of the box. They're going to ask for this info right away.

I do my best to monitor all of those conversations and help with as much as I can. I'm headed to Cactus this week so if they take an extra day or two, we appreciate your patience in advance.

Anyone know what replacement fans actually last a little while? Both of mine died within a very short time frame... Very unimpressed from such a high priced item.

Was a chunk of dirt wedged in your housing? If so, That will burn up any fan if not caught soon, obviously. I always inspect mine when I power the buggy up and watch the fan for the test that it performs. I have never burned one up. I have noticed dirt in it before and caught it using that method. But to answer your question... I don't know of a better fan.

Manic rc fans were just about bullet proof unless you broke a blade with a pebble but that will do in any fan.
Looks like he's not in business any longer but this fan has been mentioned a few times before.

Racerz27

I talked to tekin today to get a status update on my speed control and he said they are waiting on parts to come in for the rx8's issue. They will not receive the parts until the middle of next week to fix the speed control.... It seems like there is a pile of these coming in. Better get yours up there and get in line with the rest of us

Sucks

Not sure who you spoke to but we are waiting for more components to show up to build more units and repair any other units in for service. We cant build units fast enough to meet the demand that dealers and distributor's have with sales. Hopefully we will be begin shipping by the end of this week...

Yea, no big deal. I think I spoke with Michael. Real nice fella.

Racerz27: no he didn't come right out and tell me, so I didn't really press for it. I came to realize not to post the issue if I did find out just in case Castle or Orion are lurking around these parts. Lol

Looks like the gen 1 is going back in the buggy for now.

Cheers!

ok so both my gen2's seem to be cogging (buggy and truggy)
tried about 7 different lipos, 4 of them brand new...

i removed the sensor wire and it got a bit better but can someone please explain why this is still happening..

on start up at high (and sometimes even low) throttle at least 3 out of 5 times the car won't move, it will cog and stay put until i release the throttle and wait a second or two and then go again..

my cars also cog often when engaging reverse

its definitely not my drive-train, lipos, radio or receiver, solder joints or even my sensor cables as i have eliminated all these issues..

to give you a better idea please watch the start of this race (this happens to me almost every heat and race) i am the first yellow truggy that stalled at the start...

any info will be much appreciated...

Are the gen 2's brand new? Are you dialing them in via hot wire? Are they updated with the latest software under the advanced setting? Try this as well.. Hold both buttons down on the esc until it resets and insure that nether buttons sticks and fully rebounds. Then go back on your transmitter and adjust everything (travel, expo, trims, etc) out back to zero. Plug the gen 2 back into the hotwire and set it up for your race style. then be sure and recalibrate your your radio with your gen 2 while your radio is set back to zero. Then trim is back out after it's calibrated. Hope this makes sense. It's early and I had a long night

Cheers

Add to that to-do list...
Update the ESC with the newest firmware after the factory reset and before you calibrate.
